Reminds me of the noise the redpolls use to make on the feeder back on the old Permafrost Ranch.  I’m sure many of you remember this when it was streamed live from North Pole.

We have these in Alaska also.  I remember the noise they would make along with the hungry hordes of Red Polls that would visit the feeders at the old Permafrost Ranch.  I miss the live cam.  I think many of my readers do also.

If you have been wondering where I’ve been, I’ve just been taking it easy along with the rest of the frogs.  Were just sitting around swatting flies.

Cicada Shell

They crawl out of the ground after 17 years…Then they leave this shell behind and metamorphosis into the green tree noise makers we hear.

Found this at the store, one of my first jobs was at Cains Coffee Company in Corpus Christi.  Makes really good coffee.

The late traditional Chief David Salmon conducts and referees the game he brought back from the past to play at the Powwow.  The Powwow is dedicated to his memory this year.  It’s a game of strength between two players.
