Almost got this one to take a pecan out of my hand, just as he was reaching over to get, the Chunky Monkey barked.  That ended that.

This is the last picture I captured of Bubba, farewell my old friend.  I’ll never forget you and the other little squirrels here on the Ranch.

Bubba is still around and is visiting the feeder for a late night snack.

This is to all of you, who have watched, donated and loved my little red squirrels.  All these years here on the Permafrost Ranch and the Great Alaskan Squirrel Cam is drawing to close.  I want to thank you all, each of you have contributed to my life in so many ways.  I can’t describe the emotions and feelings that run through my mind when we found out today that the ranch had sold.  We will sign the paper work tomorrow.  Soon the streaming will stop but the web page will continue on until we are outside in the lower 48.  I’ll try to get it back up and running as soon as I can manage to do it.  Thanks for all your prayers, support and advice.  I will miss my little buddies on the feeder, and specially this one.  Bubba has been the star of the show.  I will miss him more than i can say.

He still is the star and swings by the feeder when those pesky little girls are not hogging it.

Couldn’t sleep this evening and was watching the flyers on the cam.  But the little Reds were also active in the evenings this time of the year.  They are so pretty but so aggressive towards each other.  Nonetheless, what a subject they have made for me to photograph.  Now, since we may be traveling around the country, I’ll have to break out into other subjects.  It will be a good change forcing me to take different pictures in different ways.  Hopefully, I’ll get lucky enough to capture a few good ones.

Look who showed up on the feeder today.  I just happened to catch him as he was leaving.  I hadn’t seen the old guy in a while so it was good to see him show up.  I miss him being the star of the show.

I had no sooner got this bowl of peanut butter mixture out on the feeder and she was right there.  I think she was hungry, because I was busy all morning an didn’t get a chance to get the bowl refilled.  Peanut butter and molasses, the molasses gives them some essential vitamins that hey need.  Specially the calcium that’s in it.

Summer and fresh water for the feeders is a supreme luxury for the Squirrels

Bubba was on the feeder today, he was hungry and you should have seen him sneaking up to it.  He was looking for those little girls.  Making sure they were not around so he could grab a bite to eat in peace.
