There is an old saying, when one heats with wood, your warming yourself three times. Once when you cut it, once when you split and the other is when you burn it.

Flying Squirrels
Flying Squirrels Babies
Yesterday I was notified by the squirrel board of a lady who needed help with some baby flying squirrels. I gave her a call yesterday and she brought them by asking if I could give her an age estimation. They were precious and I’m sorry I didn’t take any photographs of them. She’s is doing all the right things with their care. They looked to be around 5 to 6 weeks of age.

Midnight Raid on the Feeder
Bubba Raiding the Feeder
Bubba was on the feeder at 2 AM in the morning. I guess trying to keep from having to deal with the Mrs Ruby. He had no sooner ate and left, when here comes Ruby just raising a ruckus. Nonetheless he’s looking very healthy and I’m sure glad to see the old boy.
