I miss having some squirrels around, this guy showed up a couple of days ago.  I’m worried about him, he’s a young squirrel and those Hawks are about the feeder all the time.

Here come Hoover, he’s sneaking under the fence to see if there is anymore of those treats left out for him. 

He tried and tried to get two of them in his mouth.  He couldn’t do it, so he spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning them up one at a time.  His burrow is quite a ways away and across a open space.  He really has to run to cross that big open space.

Here she is, sucking up seeds faster than I can put them out.  Look at those cheeks

Winter isn’t anywhere close in this part of California.

The word is out on the street, that the feeder is open at the RV Park.  This fellow stopped in to rest and have a meal.

THis ground squirrel has climbed a bush above it’s burrow and uses it for a lookout.  I’ve never seen a ground squirrel climb a tree.

Look at those cheeks, she’s stuffing them full

She’s looking for the cat, to make sure she can grab a bite to eat.

Isn’t she a sweetie, and this is the first squirrel I photographed on the feeder.  I thought the first one I saw was a boy but I now think it was the same one as this little female.
