Croaking Frogs

Sex Starved Frog Creek

7451-copy.jpgLiving in Alaska, the sounds of the night are so different from the Lower 48.  Even in the lower 48 the differences we have come across between areas is dramatic.  The RV park in Oakhurst sat above this stream, it was full of sex starved horny frogs.  All the males were trying to out croak the other to attract those females I suppose.  It sure was a chorus of sound that we have missed.

High Sierra RV & Mobile Park

7454-copy.jpg Oakhurst, California.  This is where we stayed while we ventured up into Yosemite.  The little stream below the camper was full of croaking frogs.  I haven’t heard that sound in a while.  It was rather pleasant, still the day before we left the temps climbed up into the one hundred degrees and over range.
