Bubba is still King

Bubba is still King

Bubba was on the feeder today. He’s looking good for a old squirrel.  He was carrying his tail higher today than I’ve seen him do all spring since his major injury on his side.  I think he is trying to reestablish his supremacy as the top male squirrel in the area.  I’ve not seen any of the young male squirrels on the feeder or the grounds in quite a while.  He may have succeeded in driving them away.  Nonetheless, he has paid a price for this.  Hopefully he hasn’t lost his spot at the top.

Bubba’s still alive and kicking

Bubba’s okay, looking a bit ragged and worn a bit thin.  Nonetheless, he’s still coming around to the feeder.  He will always be the star.

Bubba’s Hard Life

Fighting off younger Squirrels

Bubba is in deep trouble, a younger squirrel has driven him from his feeder, his Greenhouse and shed Midden.  He’s getting the worse of it I’m afraid.  Being an older squirrel isn’t easy.  I feel so bad for him.
