It’s mine, my feeder and I’m not giving it up without a fight. If you were watching the live stream yesterday or this morning. Ruby and Bubba are having a knock down dragged out fight as to who controls and owns this feeder.
Bubba was on the feeder today. He’s looking good for a old squirrel. He was carrying his tail higher today than I’ve seen him do all spring since his major injury on his side. I think he is trying to reestablish his supremacy as the top male squirrel in the area. I’ve not seen any of the young male squirrels on the feeder or the grounds in quite a while. He may have succeeded in driving them away. Nonetheless, he has paid a price for this. Hopefully he hasn’t lost his spot at the top.
Bubba’s okay, looking a bit ragged and worn a bit thin. Nonetheless, he’s still coming around to the feeder. He will always be the star.
