Road Runners
Eating Other Birds
I saw some behavior from this bird I’ve never seen before. I knew from past experience they will eat snakes, small lizards and pretty much anything else they come across. The one thing I witnessed the other day kind of surprised me. They will prey upon and take small birds. This large Road Runner came running up on a bunch of house wrens and doves feeding on the ground. The bird took and grabbed a small finch and commenced to run off with it and then I watched it kill the bird . I assume to consume it, but I didn’t see that actually happen.
