Birds Nest

134411-1.jpg

A small bird has built a nest up under the RV’s pinbox.  It does have one egg in it and I’ve seen activity around the nest.  I surely hope that these eggs hatch and f ledge before we have to leave.

Word must have gone out that you were on your way. Do you know what kind of bird it is.

I’m afraid you’re stuck there until the fledglings fly away. At least you’ll be able to get a whole series of great pictures of their hatching and development.

It might be one of those fate things that ensures you stay there for a while.

Haha, Z The word must have but I kind of wish she didn’t build her nest there. I’m not sure what kind of Sparrow it is, the common one I think but not sure. I’ve only seen her a couple of times, she has placed the nest in a hard spot to get a good picture. I hope it doesn’t take too long. I’ll have to figure out a way of keeping this from happening again.

Maybe, next time, you could take a roll of mosquito netting and as soon as you’ve parked, roll it out around the perimeter of your home. You’re lucky that the nest wasn’t built at one of the overnight places!

Here’s information on how long before sparrows fledge.
