    Since these little buddies are so bright and cheerful,
    it’s a wonder you don’t hear of any particular
    predator that goes after them. Do you know if they
    have any? They probably move so fast that nothing
    can get them!

    Hi Frannie, I do know what goes after them and if it can will eat them in a heart beat, and that’s our Road Runners. You wouldn’t think that but they will wait in the bushes and ambush them. I’ve seen it happen. They will also prey upon the nest if they find one.

    Who would have ever thought — a road runner!!
    But you know, road runners don’t exist everywhere
    there are hummers. This is really interesting to
    think about. Maybe I’ll just have to do a little
    research.

    Crows will get them too!!! Especially the young ones in a nest…

    I google’d it and one of the worst predators is the
    praying mantis, among others.
