On My Mind

Destinations

12-9941-1.jpg

I awoke this morning, with old memories and dogs on my mind.

The memory of our little Monkey Man stills weighs heavily on my mind.

I dreamed of the old Permafrost Ranch and all the dogs we have had over the years

It is a long list, and it makes me sad beyond belief to think about all of them.

We will soon be moving on from this place, slowly moving south out of the high country.

I’m not sure where our final winter destination will be.

It’s kind of like I’m unsure of where to go.  After the loss of the monkey, we seem to be drifting.

No real hand on the rudder as to where I want to be.

I want to be somewhere warm, maybe down by the sea but not the gulf coast

So, that leaves us the west coast as a alternative

I really haven’t got a handle on why that I’m sort of lost as to where to go.

I have been thinking of this the last few days.

Maybe it’s the cat that has been spending time with us that has my mind locked on animals past.

The first thing I did upon waking was to open the door and see if the cat was out there and may have wanted to come in.  It’s a RV-Park Cat but nonetheless a life that enjoys our presence as long as we feed her.

I was hoping you might make it this far east, if you do there’s a warm welcome waiting. You would have to settle for a picture of the surf though LOL.

    Golly, Bobby Wayne,
    You sure sound melancholy today.
    Snap out of it Babe.
How ’bout San Antonio or some
place like that. Like Idervish, you
ALWAYS have a place to camp
round these parts. Would love to
see you again and play with you
    and Deb.
    Love

Fred seems to like you very much (and the tuna) and is going to miss you when you leave the park.

It sounds as if you’d like, and maybe need, to have a furry, four-legged addition to your travels. It may bring back focus. I’d say a doggie as you could take it to beaches and for walkies in woods.

OH thanks Z but no more pets for this old squirrel. Idervish, thanks but you just never know when or where we may turn up. Just like a bad penny. 🙂 The same goes for Pootie, I do appreciate it.
