Burnished Copper

When you first see them flying into the feeder, they look like little burnished copper balls.

I am sure a lot of people want to comment but they don’t know how or say I do it later. It took me a while to figure it out when you were in Alaska. I am sure you have a big following. All your pictures are beautiful and sometimes I am in awe.
Happy Easter to you both and the monkey too. Jean

Thanks Jean, I didn’t realize that it is unclear on how to comment on my postings. I wonder how I can make sure all are aware that they can comment and I do appreciate comments. I do monitor and delete spam comments all the time.

Thanks so much for sharing such bauetiful creatures with all of us. I have only seen one ruby-throat pair in our gardenso far. They are very inquisitive and are truly fascinating birds. One was trapped in our garage once. She tired herself out trying to fly over the top of the garage door. My husband was able to catch her finally. She was so tiny. She just relaxed in his hand immediately and even rested for while beforetaking off again.
