The color is amazing. I’ve never been up in a ballon, but I think it would be a ride.

We got that same “bug” after seeing them. Our first ‘fest’ was in Las
Cruces years ago and we’ve been to the “granddaddy” one in Albuquerque
I’m so glad that you got to see them. Being in the thick of it is a sight
you never, ever forget.
Yes it was an awesome sight to see. We didn’t go onto the launch grounds but stayed off on Alameda and watched from there, then down the road a bit to watch some more.
I have to admit I would like to take a ride on one some day. I should put that on my bucket list. Thanks to Barb and Pete for showing us the wonderful spot to watch the launch from. Didn’t cost us a penny and I got a lot of really nice photos and memories now.
We had such a great visit with Jan and met her son John Henry in Albuquerque. They raised a really fine young man. We also had a great visit with Larry, we haven’t seen him in so many years ago that I lost track.
So we are here now in the high desert of California. Soaking up a little sunshine
