Blue Jay Portfolio

Blue Jay Portrait

3084-copy1.jpgLast night storms brought further misery to this part of the world.  Death and destruction in many places.  Deb and I were just discussing the different areas we have lived .  No where we have lived is safe from natural disasters in one form or another.

You said “smile” and he gave you a grin.
I’ve often thought about what area of this country would be the safest from agressive nature and also have come to the conclusion that it doesn’t exist.

    Hey!
I was just thinking, after reading the paper this morning
and seeing the TV news yesterday, that I’d better check
on you guys so I can feel like you’re not in imminent
danger in the storms. We’re in a severe drought and are
probably facing water restrictions very soon — today is
the 111th day of no precipitation whatsoever. Next week
will be in the high 90’s so you know we’re headed for those
    triple digits!

Hi Pootie, we weren’t really anywhere actually close to any of those twisters last night. I’m certainly glad, but we do have a storm shelter here at this RV park in case we need one. Nonetheless, many people are hurting in this part of the world right now and I feel for them. Isn’t it strange just a thousand miles sometimes makes such a difference. Your experiencing severe drought and here there is flooding. Thinking of you and Owen there in the desert compared to here. It fits with the discussion Z and I were commenting about. Every area has its risk. Alaska, is experiencing forest fires early already this spring. Lots of water but the wood still burn down.
