She’s a sweetie. I see that she has become braver.

She is a cutie. I am missing my squirrels as there are way too many grackles trying to feed on their stations. Those birds are much more aggressive than the squirrels. The squirrels run to get away from them. I wish the birds would just move on. We are suppose to have really cold weather (which I know is a “Ha, ha!” for you) coming in Sunday and continue through at least the first of the week. Maybe the grackles will fly some place warmer. We haven’t had any cold weather this season yet. Maybe the birds will be tricked into thinking it is going to stay cold so they will change their location. I hope so. I feel so sorry for my little squirrels.
Bob, what do you think about those thousands of grackles that died in AK, LA, and in Finland? What do you think happened to them? I heard on the news that the scientists were not buying fireworks as a cause. I think it is scary and then there were those three huge fish kills in AK, Maryland and Australia. I think it is kind of spooky all happening at the same time.

Hi munford, I’m afraid to speculate as to what is causing these mass die offs. There is so much we don’t know. Is it something man has done, it’s possible. Is there something we can do about it. I don’t know that either. Hopefully, man hasn’t tipped the balance and we are experiencing the beginnings of mass extinctions. There is other mass die offs happening, for example, bats, and bees. Something that may have more effect on man than we can fathom. If it is an environmental problem, it could come back to haunt all of mankind.
