Night Time Birds
On the Wing
I awoke around 1:00 Am this morning and stepped outside to see what the weather was like. There was a breeze blowing pushing the clouds across the sky like great sailing ships. The full moon cast a silvery light across the land and sky lighting up the clouds. Then I heard them a flock of birds way high in the sky calling to each other as they were winging southward into the freshening breeze. I don’t have a clue to what kind of birds they were being I’ve never heard their calls before. In fact, I’ve never seen such a large flock of birds winging their way south at night like this.

every year going thru manchester CT you could see great flocks of birds migrating south/north, they would fill the sky for several huhndred yards wide and you couldn’t see the begging or end of the flock.
it’s a awesome sight to see, all species of birds mixed together.
