Solstice Drumming
Drumming on Morro Rock
Yours truly was given the honor of sitting at the Drum and playing for the solstice ceremony on Morro Rock in Morro Bay California.
This Drum has a voice, loud deep and clear, thanks to the Soldier Creek Drummers for allowing me to sit with them and drum.

How nice for you. I think you had another picture some time ago where you were permitted to join some drummers, right? They have had a pow wow here at Pueblo del Sur – where you took a pic of the dancing
indian. I see you have your big bear claw pouch hanging off your chair. Is that a buffalo hide there as well?
I remember seeing them when you were here. Are you going to make your way back up to AK before summer’s over?
Bob made some Native American friends well good for you Bob ppsstt I see a ponytail
Hello Pootie, Yes it was a buffalo hide, when not drumming the drum is covered and sleeping as it is told. So we use the buffalo hide to cover it. It’s an honor for me to be able to sit as a guest on a family drum such as this one was. As far as going to Alaska, not this year, maybe next summer we will venture north again.
Nice bear paw bag Bob;) Gonna miss you at this year’s MSIP event, I will indeed dance for you. Tonya
Thanks Tonya, I hope all is well with you and yours and enjoy that powwow. I wish we were there to watch you dance. And that bag is fantastic but then so is the lady who made it.
