   Is that a robin perched in the tree ? I didn’t know that Joshua trees had flowers either.. Hey Charles you mean I was first to respond ?

   Do the flowes have any smell to them ?

   Hi dequilter, The blooms are only open at night which attracts a certain moth. I can’t smell any thing from them. But that moth sure likes them.

   What impressive heavy blossoms! Thanks for sharing – I have no idea when I will be even near the yucca valley, but then I sure can impress my friends with my vast knowledge of plants and birdlife!

   btw, let the record state that I really typed bLossoms – sometimes there sould be a few seconds between typing ‘enter’ and posting, like with live TV shows…
