California

Just Checking in with the latest News

Our trip in from Arizona was rather un-eventful until we got here in Yucca Valley.  We stopped into a local very small RV park early to set up the RV for a stay.  That’s when a mechanical problem with the right front RV Jack popped up it’s ugly head.  It will extend, but when I tried to retract it backup again it must have broken the mechanical connection.  So, as of right now, the jack is down but will have to be repaired before we can hook back up for further travel.  I called one RV repair facility which is about 30 miles down the mountain from us since it would be under warranty.  Being there is no way to retract the jack that will hold it up in the housing, I’ll have to  tie it into place somehow to get there.  I don’t like that idea, so I’m trying to find a mobile mechanic who will do the repairs on site.  I’ll keep everyone posted, and should have the cam back up in a day or so.  I’ll try to get some pictures of these Joshua Trees.  Some of them are in full bloom.

Good luck with the repair. Hopefully the area you’re staying is pleasant enough to make up for the aggravation of getting your home fixed.

I didn’t know that Joshua Trees had blossoms.

Oh my gosh, Bob and Deb! You two be safe!
For as much as you paid for that “Baby” and it is under warranty you would think they could send someone out! Will you be reinbursed if you can get your own mechanic to repair it?
Bummer, but you two please take care!
Be sure to keep in touch so we will know you are both okay!
