Defying Gravity

SkateBoard Park Corpus Christi

Stopped here at the skateboard park while Debbie was in the doctors office.  It’s right downtown Corpus Christi, right near where there use to be a Parking Garage.  Now this park wasn’t there when I was a young lad.  Because we got caught skateboarding down the 6 floors of that Parking Garage while skipping school back in the mid 60’s.  I guess we sort of paved the way for todays younger dudes.

OK Deb was @ the Dr’s office(hope she’s ok)but what I DON’T see is Santa or Bob on that skate board. It’s the 21st
century Santa should be skate boarding

Santa’s smarter than to get on a skateboard! I remember the early 50’s and skateboarding on a 3 foot piece of 2 x 4 using an ol’ pair of roller skate for the wheels! Can even remember turning my tricycle upside down (Hot Wheels style) when I was 4! uh… that was in 19…. 19…. 50!!! My mother was a wreck!

I love to watch skating! I’m rubbish at it, so even I wouldn’t get up there. And Santa would probably get his beard stuck between the wheels.

decent photos, if you are interested in skateboarding photography, check out photographers like Atiba Jefferson.

try to get a little closer to the action, the trick is the most important part of the shot
