Grackles of the Park

Old Yellow Eye

grackle2.jpg They are really intelligent birds, you can see it in their eye.  I watched one in a store parking lot, jump up on the grill of a parked truck to eat all the insects accumulated on it.  Then it went to the next car and did the same.  That’s a learned behavior.

    Nice! Very regal and dramatic.

Charles: Grackles are smaller and leaner than crows, with longer tails. But you probably knew that already.
