Praying Mantis

Looking for a meal

We didn’t have these in Alaska either, found this big guy in the back of the pickup yesterday.  It was fun watching him on the hunt.  I didn’t notice him until after I had started up the generator to let it run for a while.  Then I watched him capture a bug that crawled out from under the unit.

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t tell what it is. It looks like a sweet potato and some heavy-duty cable.

That mantis is praying that Bob has already put out some good stuff @ the feeder.Bugs are good when theres no other meals around but we know how Bob keeps out some goodies & thats what he’s praying for GOODIES.

Same with me “Z” , I thought , what is a sweet potatoe doing in the bed of the truck ?
Oh, wait, looking again I think I see a snake next to the cable. Is that it Bob ?? If the snake is what we are suppose to see , then why is the lone sweet potatoe in the truck. Jean Delaware
